Job Title:                  Registered Nurse                                                    

Reports To:              Mobile Health Care Manager/Supervisor

 

FLSA Status:           Full-time/Part-Time, Non-Exempt-Temporary

 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position provides support to the clinical function of the operation and administers exceptional patient care in the field setting within the scope of established state, county, and organizational guidelines. This is a full-time position to assist with COVID-19 testing, Riverside County contractual obligations, and pre-employment testing.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, businesses, and office operations
  • For adult and pediatric patients: obtain vital signs, record medical history,
  • Perform COVID-19 swab testing
  • Monitor evacuees at designated evacuation sites
  • Educate providers on proper PPE usage
  • Draw blood, start IVs, and assist with various skills
  • Perform laboratory work, injections, and vaccines
  • Administer and read tuberculin (TB) skin tests
  • Administer medications as directed by physician standing orders
  • Comply with legal regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for employees and patients
  • Perform and interpret EKGs
  • Monitor supplies and place inventory orders
  • Practice common safety precautions and CDC guidelines
  • Assist with referrals and prior authorizations
  • Maintain medical records
  • Oversee laboratory coding for insurance purposes
  • Maintain all laboratory logs and required checks
  • Communicate needs with nurse manager
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education/Licensing/Certification:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of California
  • CPR, ACLS certification
  • EKG certification
  • Phlebotomy certification/experience
  • NCT certification highly preferred
  • Unrestricted CA Driver’s License

Experience:

  • Telemetry, medical/surgical, urgent care, emergency room, or medical office experience of 4 or more years required

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with dedication to excellent patient care and customer service
  • Knowledge of medical practice and medical terminology
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems
  • Knowledge of clinical processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
  • Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and act calmly in emergency situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally
  • Ability to maintain patient and business confidentiality
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
