    Job Title:  Director of Regulatory Compliance                     

    Reports To: Chief Compliance Officer

    FLSA Status:  Exempt




    The Director of Regulatory Compliance will be responsible for overseeing regulatory and compliance matters with a particular emphasis in federal and state fraud and abuse laws and regulations, emergency medical services (“EMS”) licensing requirements, and internal investigations. This position requires expertise in Federal healthcare regulatory laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Civil Monetary Penalties and Beneficiary Inducement laws and their implementing regulations.



    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in compliance related due diligence for mergers & acquisitions and monitor fair market value in response to requests for proposals and contracts;
    • Research and maintain EMS licensing database;
    • Monitor corporate and PAC political contributions;
    • Conduct compliance audits;
    • Respond to government inquiries;
    • Perform internal investigations related to various regulatory matters;
    • Research various statutes and regulations as needed;
    • Strong business acumen dealing with risk management and organizational savvy;
    • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the company’s Code of Conduct and corporate compliance and ethics program policies are updated, implemented appropriately and enforced consistently;
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects;
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures; and
    • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.


    Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Education/Licensing/Certification:  Juris Doctor required; CHC preferred.


    Experience:  Minimum six (6) years of health care and/or EMS experience in regulatory compliance environment, preferably at a law firm or regulatory agency.


    Knowledge and Skills:  Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
