    SUMMARY:  The IT Business Operations Manager supports the IT Leadership by leading a team of specialists to manage the non-technical operations of the IT Department including Vendor Management, Contracts Management while influencing the procurement and financial processes, providing operational support for IT Finance, Telecom Expense Management, Vendor and Asset Management. 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

    • Works with IT Leadership other IT resources to plan and support the business operations of the IT Division
    • Provides leadership in the evaluation and budget planning for new installations and advanced technologies and manages vendor relationships on a national basis to leverage GMR purchasing power
    • Participates fully in the establishment of GMR’s information technology vision and strategies to implement the approved vision and drive business growth
    • Collaborates with a customer centric view with IT Leadership Team, and Finance for both data gathering and financial modeling, cost projections, analysis, forecasts, and budgets to drive alignment across the organization
    • Drives process improvements by partnering with upstream & downstream process owners and enhance current tools/systems related to finance, telecom expense and asset Management
    • Provide leadership and help set the mission and vision of the VMO in alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the technology organization and the business by developing and managing the Vendor management process
    • Partners with operational teams to lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance of negotiated agreements to policies and practices
    • Manages, builds and effectively leverages vendor relationships; partnering with vendor relationship managers to assist in escalations, facilitating issue resolution, optimizing vendor performance and driving cost savings
    • Serves as first point of contact to internal business partners to answer contract-related inquiries and escalate as appropriate
    • Evaluates the viability of new vendors, track the health of key vendors and effectively communicate risk to key stakeholders.
    • Reviews, drafts, redlines, and negotiates a variety of technology-related agreements, including MSA's, SOW's, POC's, NDAs, order forms, amendments, etc. ensuring coordination with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, IT management and vendors as required
    • Is a key business partner in supporting the IT annual budgeting, quarterly reviews and monthly close process.
    • Develops and maintains an inventory tracking system to streamline our business operations and ensure accurate product inventory
    • Works with finance, internal/external audit teams, procurement, and other departments to ensure that assets, entitlements, and expenses is efficiently tracked
    • Designs operational procedures, reporting, and proactive communication processes related to IT assets including, but not limited to, agreement renewals, licensing, and hardware lifecycles
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
    • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems

     

     

    Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Coordinates vendor’s site visits, problem support and escalation process

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    Education/Licensing/Certification:

    • BS or related degree equivalent
    • MBA preferred

     

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of professional experience in IT Business Operations or equivalent background such as Vendor Management or IT Finance Management
    • 1+ year providing Lead, Manager or similar experience

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Have Led high priority projects works under the direction of VP’s and Directors
    • Experience leading teams and developing staff is preferred
    • Superior problem-solving skills, ability to analyze qualitative data as well as exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills
    • Ability to build relationships and work well in a collaborative team environment
    • Ability to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential information as well as effectively convey information of a highly technical nature to non-technical audiences
    • Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize, multitask and adhere to strict deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of Excel, Access, Word and ERP systems is required
